Ailanbeg Cottage is located in the new National Park, was built over 200 years ago and has recently been fully renovated
incl. double glazing. It combines traditional building style with modern comfort. e.g. Telephone
Internet and Email via WLAN
possible.

The original Granite masonry work was fully restored inside and out.
Located about 1,5 miles outside the picturesque village of Nethybridge, which is on the edge of the Abernethy Forest Nature Reserve.
From the cottage you have unspoilt views of the majestic Cairngorm
and the Monadhliath Mountains.
You can see what the conditions are like on cairngorm from your lounge window.

watching from Ailanbeg Cottage:
The Cottage is at the end of a private road, to the south and west surrounded by grazing land, to the north and east by heather and a pond which attracts waterfowl.
Water hen, seagulls, ducks, partridge, black-grouse, crossbill, curlew, oystercatcher, capercaille, osprey, buzzards, falcons, with patience the red kite, and the golden eagle.
The following more than 55 species have been seen from Ailanbeg Cottage
without having to leave the property: Black Grouse, Red Grouse, Blackheaded
Gull, Mallard. Oystercatcher (nesting) and with young in Garden, Lapwing
(nesting) and with young in Garden, Curlew (nesting) and with young in Garden,
Swallow, Sand Martin, Meadow Pipit, Skylark, Jackdaw, Teal, Snipe in Garden,
Widgeons, House Martin, Lesser Black Backed Gull, Shoveler, Common Gull, Moorhen
(nesting) and with young in Garden, Redshank in Garden, Starling, Wheatear
in Garden, Red Wagtail, Short-eared Owl, Buzzard, Sparrow Hawk, Hen Harrier,
Kestrel, Red Kite, Crow, Rook, Pheasant, Grey Partridge,a flock of more than 20
red-legged Partridges in front of the cottage, Woodcock pair, Redpoll
pair, Jack Snipe, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Redwing, Song Thrush,
Woodpigeon, Wren, Robin, Pied Wagtail, Starling.
Regularly feeders at the peanut feeders are:
Siskin, Red bunting, greenfinch, Bullfinch, Reed bunting, Chaffinch,
Goldfinch, Blue Tit, Crested Tit, Great Spotted Woodpecker.
Interested in fishing? We have facilities for disabled anglers.!
You will be at the right spot, as the proprietor can give you tuition in Spey casting, arrange fishing on two association waters or on private beats.
The cottage sleeps 5, consists of porch, hall, open plan lounge with fully equipped kitchen, bathroom,2 bedrooms.
All rooms on ground floor -no bunk beds-. The bedrooms are carpeted throughout, whilst all other rooms are tiled with rugs in lounge and bath. All rooms except the bathroom have original granite feature wall/s.
